Event Sponsorship

Let the people we serve know that you care about birds and nature.

ASWP organizes family-oriented events at our nature sites throughout the year. These events bring families to our sites to enjoy the beautiful natural setting and the additional activities each event provides.

These events are a great way for the people of Southwestern Pennsylvania to enjoy and learn about nature in a more social way. Sponsorship of any of these events includes recognition on all event materials and onsite, day-of-event tabling opportunity to allow visitors the chance to get to know your organization. Several hundred people attend each event so you can be sure that your sponsorship is getting attention.

Here are brief descriptions of events we offer. Visit the programs and events section of our website to learn more. Contact us at 412-963-6100 if you are interested in contributing to the costs of any of these programs. Your support helps cover the costs of materials, equipment, facilities, and other expenses that keep these events going.

Maple Madness

Families come to Beechwood Farms Nature Reserve and Succop Nature Park at the end of March for Maple Madness, a pancake brunch with naturalist-led walks that focus on the history of maple sugaring. This event attracts several hundred people.

The Great Pittsburgh Eagle Egg Hunt

This event is held in April to complement our education and conservation efforts with the Hays and Harmar Bald Eagles. Visitors learn about Bald Eagles through unique activities and games, but the highlight of the event is the kids’ egg hunts. During the egg hunts kids search Beechwood Farms for eagle-shaped eggs that contain age appropriate items such as edible treats, bird house kits, and ASWP summer camp scholarships. Nearly five hundred people attend this event.

Creatures of the Night

Creatures of the Night is our annual October family-friendly autumn event. Visitors go on a guided evening walk along our trails. Treats and crafts complement the walk. Several hundred people join us annually for this event.
