We work with youth in hands-on programs where they learn and apply science, technology, math, and other skills. Many youth are not spending time outside and without these experiences, younger generations are less likely to feel connected to nature or engage in conservation. Our programs encourage an appreciation for the natural environment and help younger generations build skills they can use in life and future professional experiences.
Not only does the environment provide unlimited opportunities for educational experiences, people intrinsically know that nature has health benefits. Research supports this view. By engaging people with nature we are encouraging learning and quality of life.
Having the support of businesses and corporations increases our impact, helps us engage the people we serve, and lets them know you care about something they value.
We recognize our donors through our quarterly newsletter, which reaches over 4,000 Audubon members. We also recognize donors on event and program materials and through naming opportunities at our facilities.
