EITC Program

Make a contribution that helps to educate the next generation of environmental stewards.

The EITC Program is administered by the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development (DCED). Eligible businesses that make contributions to a DCED recognized scholarship organization or educational improvement organization will be able to apply for tax credits for the tax year in which the contribution was made. The Audubon Society of Western Pennsylvania is recognized as an approved EITC educational improvement organization.

The amount of the tax credit can equal 75% of the business’s contribution up to a maximum of $750,000 per tax year. If a business agrees to provide the same donation amount for two consecutive tax years their tax credit can equal 90% of the contribution up to a maximum of $750,000.

The EITC program is a great way for you to make a contribution that supports a local organization while benefitting your businesses. By receiving a tax credit of 75% or 90% of your contribution you are essentially receiving the majority of your donation back in the form of tax credits. When you contribute to any of our educational programs you can take advantage of this tax credit.

How you can participate?

Businesses apply for EITC credits by going to the Department of Community and Economic Development website and applying through the DCED online single application system. This allows you to submit basic information about your business, show the level of support you will be making, and calculate what your tax credit will be.
